Each month the The Building Hope Foundation Inc. supplies pizza meals to over 300 people: The first Thu. of each month to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, both to the main facility and the women’s shelter. They feed homeless/needy. The third Sun. of each month at the John St. bridge underpass. The Helping Hands Outreach group distributes to homeless who line up there. The third Fri. of each month to the Disability Resource Network, at both their Bridgeport and Derby locations. More story HERE.

Joe Kaliko, founder of the Greenwich-based nonprofit The Needs Clearing House, was honored during a farewell tribute in Bridgeport on June 23rd. Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez, Mayor Joe Ganim, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, and The Building Hope Foundation Inc were all in attendance. Announcing the completion of the The Building Hope Foundation Inc. project for Kids in Crisis: a bluestone walkway and ramp to provide safer access and entrance. Much appreciation for the contributions from vendors Devine Brothers Inc, and Reyes Masonry. Moving forward, Building Hope Foundation will function in a volunteer consulting capacity for Kids in Crisis. More story HERE.
